Producer

The Luvignac Picpoul de Pinet St Clair is a white wine made from 100% Piquepoul Blanc grapes, a very popular, traditional local variety that is grown on vineyards overlooking the Etang de Thau lagoon and the Mediterranean sea.

The Cave de Pomérols was founded in 1932 and has since then steadily grown and prospered into a modern forward-thinking wine cooperative that produces excellent and affordable wines. Today, the vineyards of the Vins de la Famille de Beauvignac cover over 1800 hectares with 350 affiliated vintners growing a variety of grapes. Over 400 hectares are classified AOP Picpoul de Pinet which accounts for roughly 20% of the Cave’s production.

Food Pairings

Luvignac Picpoul de Pinet St Clair pairs brilliantly with:

  • Fresh oysters and shellfish

  • Grilled seabass with lemon and herbs

  • Goat cheese and arugula salad

Also excellent with light Thai dishes, white asparagus, or simply as a sunny aperitif.

Wine Region

Picpoul de Pinet is a small appellation in the Languedoc, hugging the Mediterranean coastline near the Étang de Thau — a saltwater lagoon famous for its oysters. The maritime influence and limestone-rich soils create ideal conditions for producing crisp, high-acid whites. The grape Picpoul Blanc has been grown here for centuries and is prized for its ability to retain freshness in the region’s warm climate.
