Navajas Crianza Tinto 2017, Rioja, Spain
This fruit-packed modern style wine, Navajas Rioja Crianza is a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha aged in American oak for 15 months. An enticing nose of fruit, oak and subtle spice. Smooth with strong fruits of the forest flavours and rich vanilla on the long, lingering finish.
After its barrel and bottle ageing, this wine reaches the desired balance and a fine bouquet, where both ripe fruit and spicy and herbal aromas can be appreciated.

Bodegas Navajas is a family owned wine company based in the small village of Navarrete, Rioja Alta. Since founding in 1918, generation after generation have tried to be faithful to the principle of “Making Quality Wines”. Today’s modern facilities include three ageing cellars for 6.000 barrels, and a bottle ageing cellar for 100.000 bottles, both of which are equipped with the latest technology for the treatment and care of the wines. The vineyard produces white, rosé and particularly red wines some of which are bottled as young wines and the rest as Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva wines.
What sets Navajas apart from many other Rioja producers is its attention to detail during every stage of the process, from monitoring the 150 ha of their growers’ vineyards in Rioja Alta, to hand-harvesting grapes and vinifying it in a new, state-of-the-art winery.
