Producer

Château Roubine is one of just 18 Cru Classé estates in Provence, with a winemaking history that stretches back to the 14th century. Nestled between the Verdon and the Mediterranean, the estate spans 130 hectares with 13 different grape varieties and a striking commitment to biodiversity. The name “Roubine” means “stream” in Provençal, and the vineyards benefit from a natural water source that nourishes the vines sustainably.
Today, under the stewardship of Valérie Rousselle, the estate is certified organic and known for its elegant, terroir-driven wines. Hippy Rosé is a modern, joyful expression of the château’s philosophy — crafted with precision, authenticity, and a free spirit.

Wine Region

IGP Méditerranée is a French Protected Geographical Indication (IGP) for wines produced in the Mediterranean region of southern France. It covers a large area encompassing Provence, part of the Rhône Valley, and other departments along the Mediterranean coast, including Corsica. The IGP label guarantees that the wine is made from grapes grown within that specific geographical area and produced according to traditional methods.

Côtes de Provence is France’s largest AOP for rosé, encompassing a diverse landscape of coastal hills, limestone ridges, and sunlit plains stretching from Marseille to Nice. The wines are known for their pale colour, dry texture, and citrus-laced minerality and whilst not an exclusive Provence grown wine, this region’s influence is very evident in Château Roubine’s Hippy Rosé.
Château Roubine’s main vineyards, located near Lorgues, benefit from limestone-clay soils, warm days and cooling mistral winds, allowing grapes to ripen slowly and maintain balance. The result: fresh, refined rosés with exceptional drinkability and food pairing potential.
