Producer

Chateau d’Esclans is a fantastic property with an insanely grand house near La Motte and produces some of the world’s best rosé wines.

The man behind the project is Sacha Lichine, son of the writer and vigneron Alexis, and until 1999 the proprietor of Margaux’s Chateau Prieure-Lichine. Since 1999, Sacha has been building up Domaines Sacha Lichine with d’Esclans as the jewel in the crown.  Everything is done with quality as the overriding focus. Sacha is very proud to say he takes the same care and attention of his grapes as any of the top Bordeaux chateaux do of theirs, and no expense is spared to ensure every vintage reaches its potential in the bottle. The wines themselves are made by Patrick Leon, who used to make the wine at none other than Chateau Mouton-Rothschild and Opus One

Whispering Angel Rose Wine has become one of the benchmarks for the best Provence rosé wine and is adored by Rose Wine lovers across the globe.

Wine Region

Côtes de Provence is the spiritual home of dry, pale rosé. Stretching from the foothills of inland Provence to the sun-drenched coast near Saint-Tropez, the region benefits from limestone soils, warm days, and cooling Mediterranean breezes. Wines here are known for their light colour, crisp acidity, and elegant minerality. Whispering Angel captures this regional identity with precision, offering a rosé that’s refreshing, expressive, and unmistakably Provençal.

Food Pairings

Whispering Angel Rosé pairs well with vibrant, Mediterranean flavours — starting with a Provençal classic:

  • Niçoise salad with seared tuna

  • Grilled peach with burrata and basil

  • Seabass with ratatouille or lemon couscous

  • Sushi and sashimi with citrus ponzu

  • Goat cheese tart or chilled melon and prosciutto
